Commander George is an Army Veteran and a founding member of the Blue Water Chapter. George graduated high school in the Blue Water area before serving in US Army from 1993 until 1996. He continued his service in the National Guard from 1996 until 2000. He is professional chef and real estate agent while also giving back to the community as a Food Service Manager for The Council on Aging of St Clair County (Meals on Wheels). George's involvement with Boat4Vets began with Lake St. Clair Chapter during their second year when he volunteered in conjunction with his then employer Best Buy. Founded in 2014 our Blue Water Chapter hosts our largest event. The first year's event hosted 80 veterans and almost total 160 people. 2018 was a huge year for this chapter as they hosted 200 veterans guests and 45 boats at River Street Marina in Port Huron. This years event is also at River Side Marina and scheduled for Saturday August 20th at 930am. The day begins with the doughnuts and coffee before the days activities.  After the coffee and doughnuts veterans and guest can look forward to boat rides , visiting with young cadets and marines, and a luncheon with prizes for the veterans.
